The Sun Will Rise Foundation: The Sun Will Rise Foundation is a non-profit organization with a deeply personal and poignant origin. It has shaped my outlook on life. Founded by my family, the foundation emerged from the tragic loss of my twenty-year-old brother, Nicholas Bean, to an accidental overdose in May 2015. Struggling to find purpose and solace after such a sudden and traumatic event, my family decided to channel our grief into creating a support system for others facing similar struggles. Drawing on the value we found in peer grief support groups, we established The Sun Will Rise, a Massachusetts-based grief support group specifically for those who have lost loved ones to overdose or substance use disorder. The foundation evolved into a 501c3 non-profit charity, broadening its mission to include education, awareness, and prevention. We passionately shares our family's story to dispel misconceptions surrounding substance use disorder, advocating for understanding, empathy, and support within the community. Through speaking engagements and outreach efforts, the foundation aims to prevent other families from experiencing the devastation of substance use disorder and eliminate the stigma associated with it.
Fashion Aficionado: Fashion is more than just clothing; it's a form of self-expression. I have a keen eye for style, trends, and the unique stories that garments tell. Exploring the intersections of culture, history, and personal identity through fashion fuels my creativity and drives my love for this ever-evolving art form.
Canine Companion Advocate: Dogs hold a special place in my heart. Their loyalty, unconditional love, and joyful spirits inspire me every day! I actively support animal welfare causes, and you'll often find snippets of my adventures with furry friends as we explore the world together.
